I join my fellow countrymen in celebrating His Majesty Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuk’s 28th birth anniversary by sharing my favorite picture of His Majesty.
This picture of His Majesty was taken by my good friend Aku Sonam Tshering (aka License). We were in Changlimithang for the 99th National Day celebrations, 17th December, 2006. After the address, His Majesty visited the public gallery, and very close to us he stopped for a “5″ from this boy who was about 10. It was a beautiful sight, a moment that remains close to my heart.
