John> welcome to this blog. The visa will never be reduced to 40$ a month. Infact in light of the continual devaluantion of the dollar, the government has just announced an increase in the daily minimum rates from 200$ to 240$ per day per person.

You may be be surprised to know this: there are very few vegetarians in Bhutan (and in the Himalayas).

Foreigners cannot run business in Bhutan.

Sirs:
...Wishing all success to the new administration..
And,since this is the first comment, maybe it would be effective to inquire:

could he reduce the visa cost to, say, about$40-/month?
If someone may reply to this , what are the possibilities of Buddhist cooking(vegan -veg)
around the main cities?
Is it possible to get a business visa to run a resto?
--Nepal is wearing thin these days for that possibility
with the thought of earthquakes not far away.

Best Wishes,
